McCormick Architecture undertook masterplanning for the construction of 356 dwelling units providing a mix of accommodation including apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached houses, together with public open space and play areas, new accesses, car parking and associated landscpaing, as well as 136,305 square ft of industrial/commercial accommodation.
McCormick Architecture proposed the removal of the existing poor quality buildings on the site and their replacement with a well-conceived and more sympathetically designed development, taking inspiration from the built context in Lancaster and in keeping witth the character and appearance of the town.
